The Browns are 0-2. The Indians are, in typical fashion, spiraling downward to their ultimate first to worst finish..again. The Schmuck is digging deep for optimistic inspiration...
Mojitos and Fajitas
...And I usually find it in food and beverage. Let's face it, no matter how bad our team's record, we still gather at game time for good food and booze. If you have a bumper crop of mint in your herb garden like I do, have a mojito party! Here's the best recipe. Even though summer is over, it's crisp and refreshing. Pair it with some steak fajitas (Scott Fujitas?), turn on some Latin jazz. It helps.

| Unnecessary Gymnastics |
I'll admit, I was impressed very much by our first round draft pick this week. He's got moves. He's got strength. He's got enormous nads for showboating his first NFL TD with a leaping, and extremely awkward, forward roll into the end zone. I almost dropped my mojito. I thought for sure he'd be out for 5 weeks with a neck strain. Hey Cole Train, more running, less unnecessary gymnastics.
D'Qwell Jackson
If I were to throw down $150 on a Browns jersey, it would certainly be #52 D'Qwell Jackson. The dude actually cried on TV because he was so grateful to be playing for the Browns. He wins the Optimistic Schmuck Grand Prize for Schmuckiness. Of course I would cry if someone signed me to blog for $42 million. Money aside, I like him, a lot. He's got a work ethic you don't see too much in professional sports. He thought his career was over due to injuries. He came back, proved himself, and the Browns invested in him long term. I'm glad we did. I love to watch him flatten guys.“In this business, you have to play every week,” Jackson said. “You have to bring your ‘A’ game. I just want everybody to do well. I don’t focus on myself at all and right now, we’re 0-2 and what matters is getting to the playoffs and winning the division games. That’s all I care about.”
Me too, D'Qwell. Me too.
